6. RELATIONSHIP INVENTORY

This workshop will act as a map of your own innate intuition. We know the area we are — relationships, but I’ll need you to define where you are now on that map and set your destination (our vision exercise from earlier). By having clarity and setting goals early, we give ourselves a tangible guide to follow as we move forward. Something we can measure at the end of this workshops and ask ourselves — am I closer to where I want to be?

MY WORLD EXERCISE:

On a blank piece of paper or journal draw the following (or alternatively print out the below and add your own details.)

In the inner circle — write the people closest to you, the ones that you feel have the most influence on your decisions and who you are. In the mid circle — write out the people that you spend a relative amount of time with and have a moderate influence on you or your life. Finally, in the outer circle — write out the people you see occasionally, that have little influence on you.

Once you’ve completed — you have an inventory list of the people you are surrounded by.

Grab a highlighter and highlight the relationships in each of the circles that are rewarding — the people you trust the most, or enjoy spending the most time with. The individuals that you feel most natural to be around.

See if there is any cohesion or discrepancy between who you spend the most time with and who you feel the best around. Explore this visual below with the following prompts:

  1. Who do you spend the most time with?

  2. Who do you enjoy spending the most time with?

  3. Have you been pouring into the relationships that pour into you?

  4. If not, why is that?

  5. Have you taken anyone on this list for granted?

  6. Is there anyone that you feel like may not be a healthy relationship for you, if so why?
