THE 4 QUESTIONS
Saying yes to too much is a way we can protect ourselves from taking ownership of what we want in life and what we want to create. It’s an easy story to fall into: “I am too busy”. It is the ultimate excuse for not doing things that serve you and your greatest good. But there's a difference between naturally busy periods of life, and consciously and continuously taking on too much. So much so that we find it increasingly common to skip on healthy habits we’ve intended to implement. This sacrificial energy of being too busy, doesn’t call for our most Magnetic Self.
In fact, your magnetic self is likely more familiar with the perhaps lesser used -- No. This two letter word is your superpower. Its very use is indicative of your ability to discern what is in your favor and what is not.
If this resonates with you, the below exercise will be very powerful and I encourage you to return to it regularly until it becomes reflexive.
Before you take on a request or a new project explore the following questions:
Do I innately want to do this?
If there is a reward, is it worth the time and energy it will take?
Do I have the available capacity to meet my own needs and say yes?
Will it leave me feeling restored or depleted?
